It’s that time of year again! Worcester CAMRA Beer, Cider and Perry Festival is back at Pitchcroft Racecourse for another craft filled weekend, with a splash of great food and music to boot. The 3-day festival open at 5pm Thursday 8th August, with the Friday and Saturday sessions kicking off at 12 noon. Are you going to be there? We are! The annual festival brings together a fantastic range of local beer, cider and perries, as well as those from further afield.
Celtic Marches are supplying the Worcester Cider Bar with a range of our award-winning craft cider, all grown, picked and pressed at the family farm; Wyer Croft in Bishops Frome, Herefordshire. You’ll be able to try all our ciders using your prepaid tokens, purchased upon entry to the festival. Be quick though as stocks are limited and once they’re gone, they’re gone!
We will be supplying 12 ciders this year plus 2 very special Limited Edition Ciders! Kir Briton, a collab with White Heron’s award winning British Cassis and G&C, a botanical blend of our craft cider and Penrhos’ copper distilled handcrafted gin! These are very limited so get in there before you miss them!
Teaming up with fellow award winning Herefordians, White Heron, we bring you Kir Briton. Blending Celtic Marches signature single-estate craft cider with the intense fruit filled flavour of British Cassis, this blackcurrant and apple blend hits all the right notes. Both rich in heritage, the luxurious liqueur’s smooth, ripe flavours cut effortlessly through the tannins of the meticulously balanced cider apples. With a sweet edge, the freshly picked currants from the Whittern Estate complement the subtly perfected apple blend of Wyer Croft.
Still keeping it local, G&C is a collaboration with another Marches producer, award winning craft gin company, Penrhos Spirits. Blending our finest Herefordshire craft cider with Penrhos’ premium dry gin, produces a surprisingly smooth cocktail. Bursting with botanicals, it captivates the essence of the orchards and enhances the taste journey. Subtle notes of cherry blossom linger after the delicate sweet honey mouthfeel. The pure gin afternotes are perfectly executed, with pink pepper, cardamom and rose petals gently lifting through the cider.

Lily the Pink 4.5%
Winner of the Gold award at the International Cider Challenge 2018 and Bronze at The Great Lakes International Cider and Perry Competition (GLINTCAP) 2018 and the Japan Cider & Perry Awards 2018. Our golden girl is a medium fruity cider with a gorgeous delicate hue. Made using 100% cider apples, from our very own Herefordshire farm, Lily has an intense fruity aroma. This easy drinking cider is very quaffable!

Thundering Molly 5.2%
Beautiful to the core, Thundering Molly is a palate pleasing, lightly sparkling medium cider that is far from mediocre. She is a meticulously balanced cider with a golden glow. This scrumptious sip is smooth, well rounded and has a wonderful apple nose. A signature quality of our homegrown Herefordshire Cider apples.
The bitter sweet and sharp mash in Molly includes Dabinett, Harry Masters, Ashton Bitters and Three Counties to name a few.
This winning blend was awarded Silver at The International Cider Awards 2019, Silver at the Japan Cider & Perry Awards 2018, Bronze Medal Winner at the International Cider Challenge 2018 and GLINTCAP, USA.

Slack Alice 4.6%
Silver Medal Winner at The Great Lakes International Cider and Perry Competition (GLINTCAP) 2018, and Bronze medallist at the Japan Cider & Perry Awards 2018 and the International Cider Challenge 2018. Alice is a medium well-rounded cider with a moreish sharpness. At 4.6% she is slightly drier than our other medium cider, Thundering Molly, yet still mellow with a very slight tart finish; a result of the balanced blending of our homegrown cider apples. This cider is a true Herefordshire delight!

Cuckoo Penny 4%
This palate pleasing cider is the winner of Gold at GLINTCAP 2019 and the International Cider Challenge 2018 Trophy winner! A beautiful blend of Yorkshire Triangle Timperley Rhubarb Juice and our Herefordshire Cider creates the quintessential taste of the English Countryside. A medium cider with the subtle tart of rhubarb juice giving a refreshing bite at the end. She also picked up a Silver at The Great Lakes International Cider and Perry Competition (GLINTCAP) 2018 and a Bronze at the Japan Cider & Perry Awards 2018.

Ruby Tuesday 4%
Winner of the Silver Award at the International Cider Challenge 2018 and the Bronze medallist at The Great Lakes International Cider and Perry Competition (GLINTCAP) 2018. Our 100% Herefordshire Cider has been liberally imparted with British Raspberry Juice giving Ruby Tuesday a gorgeous colour and a wonderful taste of fresh raspberries. She has a lovely aroma of crushed raspberries that only real raspberry juice can create combined with notes of apples. More medium than sweet, this one has a little bite to it!

Cracklin’ Rosie 4.5%
Bronze Medal winner at GLINTCAP 2018, Cracklin’ Rosie Perry is made using 100% pressed British pear juice. She is a bright medium perry and her delightful taste is delicate and fine. Light in colour with a very slight green hue, this crisp, clean perry is crafted with precision.

Abrahalls AM 6%
This medium 6% cider is a well-rounded and easy to drink. Made on the family farm in Bishops Frome, the cider is made from a blend of bitter sweet and sharp cider apples – Dabinett, Michelin and a smattering of Kingston Black. The fruit in our orchards is allowed to grow and fully ripen bringing out a full flavour in the cider.

Tutti Frutti 4%
The tropical twist of pineapple and cherry give this Herefordshire craft cider it’s deliciously moreish exotic flavour. The balance of the sweet and tartness of the pineapple partners perfectly with the richness of cherry. With a light mouthfeel this is a seamlessly complex fruit cider.

Loubi Lou 4%
An interesting blend of Pomegranate and Rose, the Middle East meets the English garden. The rose afternotes and crisp Herefordshire cider apples create the smooth quintessential taste of the English summer. The blend of pomegranates gentle tartness lifts the overall mouthfeel.

Celtic Tiger 4%
Caribbean sunshine meets the English countryside to create this wonderfully refreshing tropical cider. Our golden cider has been blended with the vibrant natural flavours of pineapple and orange. The pineapple brings a refreshing balance of sweet and sour to the blend, complimenting the light citrus burst of the orange and still allowing the pressed apple afternotes to break through.

Slightly Foxed 4%
The richness of exotic mango has been cunningly blended with the juice of our homegrown Herefordshire cider apples. With a lightly balanced sweetness, this smooth and sophisticated crafty drop is an easy drinking taste of the tropics.

Ashton Bitters 5.6%
A characterful single variety cider with a subtle tartness. This golden dry cider is 5.6% and crafted using only Ashton Bitters grown on the Herefordshire family farm.
