BBI- British Bottlers' Institute more Awards for Celtic Marches
Celtic Marches are proud to announce that our already heaving Awards cabinet just got shinier with another two medals from the British Bottlers' Institute Awards 2019.
The British Bottlers' Institute (BBI) is a non-profit organisation that provides a vital service to the Bottling Industry. The forum was created in 1953 for everyone that works in the industry. The forum provides a central location where people can share experience of all the bottling, canning and packaging of products.
The BBI holds their competition annually. It is split into two different categories: Ales, Lagers and Ciders along with Waters and Soft Drinks. Both separate categories have different entry classes. Celtic Marches were awarded two medals in two classes.
In the Ciders and Perry Non-Apple Flavoured Class, our new fruit cider Strawberry and Lime was awarded a Diploma. This fruity number has a sweet, fresh-crushed strawberry nose and the subtle, zingy, citrus finishing note of lime. It is a 4% cider is a bursting blend of citrus and sweet. The sweet and sour of the strawberries and lime have been carefully balanced and lightly mellowed by the Herefordshire cider apples used to create it. We’re so pleased the judges enjoyed it!
In the Low Strength Cider 0.5% ABV or Below Class, our Holly GoLightly won a Silver medal! Holly is light and fresh with a 0.5% ABV. Her low alcohol label is not to be underestimated. With plenty of body, a touch of acidity as the end note and the wonderful tannin aftertaste that only 100% pressed cider apples can give. This lady is a full flavoured medium cider with strong roots in our range. It’s no easy task to produce a low alcohol cider whilst retaining the important cider qualities; we couldn’t be prouder of the recognition Holly has received.
